Want Some More Rex Burkhead Hype?
"He was leaving here with a mission," Plano High coach Joey Stone said. "He was focused. And I promise you, whatever his mission is, he's going to accomplish it.
"If Rex Burkhead told me he was going to be the next president of the United States, I'd believe him."
... "It's kind of weird. He has a presence about himself unlike I have ever seen before in football."
...
"That man is going to do whatever he wants," said former Plano quarterback Carson Meger, now a freshman at Texas-El Paso.
...
"It's not about him. It's about the team," NU running backs coach Tim Beck said. "He gets it. A lot of very talented guys don't see the big picture. He does. He's a great young man. Players around him feed off his quiet confidence and work ethic. It's instant credibility."

is this exciting
or kind of dangerous?
We did this same thing to Marlon Lucky – built him to the point that he’d never live up to the hype.

At least he's on campus though
I felt with Lucky it started as soon as he got the 5 star rating.

Slight difference...
…is that the hype over Marlon Lucky came from fans and recruiting services, not from his coaches. (Other than Jon Gruden…) Remember “next Adrian Petersen”, start game one, yadda yadda yadda.
I find it interesting, intriguing, but I’ll reserve my judgement until I see him in action.
