Cookie Miller Transferring

Point guard Cookie Miller and forward Alonzo Edwards announced today they are transferring from Nebraska.  Miller is leaving to be closer to his family, while Edwards, who only played in 16 games this season, is looking for more playing time.  The departures open up scholarships for junior college players Lance Jeter and Quincy Hankins, who orally committed to Nebraska last month.

Miller said that he's leaving Nebraska on good terms, but the pull of family is too strong.  His cousin was murdered last summer, and his second daughter was born in December, causing him to head home and miss the infamous Maryland-Baltimore County game.

No word as to whether Doug Gottlieb had any comment on the transfer.

too bad

I liked watching Miller play (whenever I got to watch him).

And I didn’t mind him punkin’ the opponents. :)

So some players

had to leave to make room for the incoming players correct?

Was Doc planning on this all along?
