Trev Alberts a Finalist for Nebraska-Omaha's Athletic Director
Former Husker and current CBS College Sports analyst Trev Alberts is one of four finalists to be the next athletic director at Nebraska-Omaha. UNO has had a revolving door of leadership in recent years, including a recent bizarre case where the vice chancellor was caught diverting athletic department donations to pay for vacations, golf, and exotic dinners. Meanwhile, UNO has struggled to find it's place in local and college sports as many of their former conference partners left division 2 for division 1.
Alberts certainly would bring a fair dose of respect to the position, and probably could reopen doors that have been shut in recent years. He doesn't have much experience in administration, but he certainly could look to his time at Nebraska for guidance on how an athletic department should be run.

what a weird
combination.
Is Alberts doing this to gain experience for something that may come later? That’s the obvious angle on it.
