Christopher Niemann Tears ACL
Doc Sadler announced after tonight's game that 6'11" freshman Christopher Niemann tore his ACL earlier today. Niemann is not eligible to play this season due to NCAA rules. Since ACL injuries can take a year or longer to recover from, this injury puts his availability next season in question.

Well I dont know
about it taking a year to recover from. I tore mine and was fine and back to playing in 4 months, same with my step son. Just about everyone I know who has done this is back to playing 4-6 months later and they dont have near the group rehibilatating them that he will. He should be back to full strength by the time bball season rolls around. It is 8 months until the season gets under way and I would guess he will be ready by the time it gets to the first game.
Full strength...yes...
…but over and over and over again, it seems that athletes don’t return to pre-injury form for over a year. I notice it more in football, but it seems that they’re just a step slow.
