Nebraska implements new defensive strategy to slow no-huddle offenses
You were wondering how the Husker defensive staff is going to deal with the no-huddle offense? They've already thought of that.

They need to do something different against MU and OU
Our defense against them the last two years has been just a shade above non-existant. I hope the new strategy works well. I just hope they don’t forget the basics, like tackling. Something we improved on a bunch last year from beginning to end.

last year’s Missouri game was where the team turned around. Peiini/Watson figured out how to make the offense go, and things got much better after that. Spread the field, control the ball. They adjusted well.
I believe our defense this year will be much better. I’ll do more on this later, but the Pelini brothers have much more depth and another year where they’re not having to teach basic defense, but can start to hone their system.

I just
hope they don’t forget the basics. I think that hurt Cos as much as bad game planning. Missed tackles and being out of position to make plays is crucial. I guess what I am trying to say is I hope they don’t think too much and forget important basic areas.
