Guess Who's Faster than Chase Daniel? Lydon Murtha.

(Thanks BRN)  Looking over the 40 yard dash times from the NFL Combine, there was one little comparison that stuck out:

Chase Daniel, QB 4.92

Lydon Murtha, OL 4.89

Now, too be sure, Murtha put a remarkable score on the clock at the combine, and Daniel, well, really hasn't been the same once he got that pelt in Lincoln in October.  But what does it really mean?

Daniel's poor showing at the combine probably cements his name as a "system quarterback".  On the other hand, Murtha's numbers definitely helps him, though he's always had the measurables.  He's never really put it all together on the field IMHO.  It will be interesting to see where he ends up being slotted.  His performance during his career would place him undrafted, much like Kansas State's Josh Freeman, another measurables player who's college career doesn't indicate any sort of NFL career.

guess

who’s going to get drafted higher than Murtha, too.

Josh Freeman has a lot of raw ralent. Gun for an arm. Someone is going to make him a project. NFL guys are too arrogant to not take that chance.

I really shouldn't....

pick on Daniel; I mean Murtha would only have beaten him by a nose. Snot like that was a monumental difference.

A 4.92?

There goes Chase’s career as a running back.

I thought

he looked like he had done nothing but eat over the Christmas break, when I seen him in Mizzou’s bowl game. It looked like he had a beer belly. It doesn’t surprise me his forty time is crap.
