Final second question
I have been asking this question for days and have yet to receive an answer. So I will ask it here:
If the roles had been reversed — if Nebraska was down 12-10 against Texas and threw a pass out of bounds as the clock ticked down to zero — would the officials have put one second back on the clock?
I say NO WAY, (and I have some friends who are Texas fans who agree with me; of course, the Texas and K-State people on here won't address that).
What say you?

Yes I do believe that second would be added

Check the 6:50 min mark and the 7min 30 sec. of the game.
As you can see they added 1 second on the clock so Nebraska can attempt a field goal.
ATX
Not the same thing
That game was in the Orange Bowl before the Big 12 Conference was even created, a conference that was formed to do two things by the other seven Big 8 teams — bring in Texas and take down Nebraska … and they were able to conspire to do both in one night.

No they wouldn't have
The referees would have looked up, seen 0:00 and Texas in the lead and ran off like a bunch of little girls.
