Jon J: This game is why I would never bet on college football . You have to be able to bet without emotion, and I wouldn’t be able to do it consistently. I’m looking for the perfect game from the Huskers, and that perfect game would be an ugly slugfest.
I gave Peter Bean a whole bunch of crap on EDSBS Live this past Tuesday about how the Huskers would win this game, 13-11, and I’m sticking with it.

did a “breaking news” bottom line during the WVU game saying that Stoops was on of the finalist for the ND game, but Stoops said he wouldn’t be the next ND coach

an $18M buy out? Who wouldn’t consider going and coaching for a couple of years then retiring on that chunk of change

Alabama has a comparable defense (it would be tough to play any better than NU did tonight), and they have a very reliable, productive offense.
Texas has a lot to do before they play in January if they expect to even hang with Alabama. As much as I hate Alabama/the SEC/etc.

I came on here talking smack saying that Nebraska would get destroyed by Texas but I was wrong. Wow, Nebraska’s D was amazing, but there has to be a but. That might have been the worst offensive performance that I have seen. Granted you guys might have played worse this season, but I didn’t see it. Suh is a monster and should win the Heisman.
Also don’t blame the refs for this defeat. The horse collar was correct, blame the rule not the ref. There should have been one second left even if Texas had a brain fart.
Blame your kicker for sending it out of bounds. Blame your shitty offense because in college you can’t win with intervals of three.
Thank God Texas won the game. Nobody wants to see Cincy or TCU face ’Bama.

Refs made the right calls
I don’t what Pelini is bitching about. The refs made the right calls. Now about the holding on Suh. They could have called more, but you and I both know that the Big 12 has a policy of not calling holding. There should have been one second left and everybody can see that. You guys got a lucky break with Texas being down at the one yard line on the kick off when he didn’t have possession. Also, there were several late hits and several horse collars that were ignored. Nebraska is a team that plays to the echo of the whistle. Refs did not cost Nebraska this game and if Pelini appeals he is just a sore loser.
