Sorry no Corn Flakes for the last few days. I was out chasing birds. Anyway you don't want to talk Colorado anyhow, it was ugly, NU won, and now it's Texas.
Omaha.com - The Omaha World-Herald: Big Red Today - Huskers can't kick UT heartbreak
Since the Horns crashed the quaint Big Eight party 13 years ago, they've tussled with Nebraska eight times. The scoreboard reads: Texas 7, Nebraska 1. Worse, all but one of those defeats was an absolute gut punch.
I'm not so sure...
Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh: Statistics don’t tell the story of how dominant Suh has been this week and throughout the season. Suh produced five tackles, two quarterback hurries and a 17-yard sack to punctuate the Cornhuskers’ 28-20 triumph over Colorado. He’s in line for almost every defensive award and probably deserves more Heisman consideration than he’s receiving. But his biggest game approaches this week as he tries to lead the Cornhuskers to their first Big 12 title since 1999.

2. Nebraska: It’s no surprise the Cornhuskers are playing for the Big 12 title. But they have overcome their share of adversity as they make their first championship game appearance since 2006. Bo Pelini's team has a puncher’s chance Saturday night against Texas mainly because of a determined defensive front and a special teams unit that has dictated field position all season long. Punter/kicker Alex Henery has been among the most valuable Cornhuskers all season and will need a big game against Texas on Saturday.
So is NU really #2 in the B12? You have to look at the whole season and all the other B12 teams before you can answer.
SB Nation Historic blog rates the Huskers throwback uniforms a "C". Let's face it, it was 1962, long before Nike tried to fashion up teams and the game wasn't about selling jerseys as much as it was about playing football. - JJ
