Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Baylor Bears - Post Game Thread

We Win!!!!

This is your post game thread.

Time to talk about Cody Green's first start, a youth movement, and Shawn Watson's play calling. Oh, there's more than that, but it's just a good start.

I'll take it

Not at all pleased with what happened after 20-0, but a lot of it can be attributed to the extreme youth on offense.

Still some work to do in the secondary, need to find a way to minimize West, O’Hanlon, and Thorell’s time on the field. At least all at the same time.

Jared Crick is the new Suh. We need a good nickname for this monster.

the offense

scored 13 points.

they scored 7 last week.

if we score 20 against Oklahoma, can we win?

Just txt'd my brother

OU 20 NU 0

We will be lucky to score against OU’s defense.

Its our only shot

The offense just isn’t there. I can’t think of bigger drop off in offensive production from one year to the next than last year to this year.

Pelini...

I’m not going to make to much of it. I’m already on to next week. Think OU is going to keep him up at night?

Million Dollar Question

Did #17 do enough to earn a second start against OU?

I say you’ve made your bed so lie in. Start him and hope for the best.

i'm sure

they’ll base it on practice.

but the offense did score 13 points under his watch.

He said Lee would play at halftime

But that didn’t happen. My guess is that it’s Green’s show from now on. As it should be.

I agree

Lee not playing spoke volumes…even when getting shutout the second half.

really

what happened?

About four questions

and that’s all they had. Bo wasn’t unusually snarly or anything. Just not many questions.

how the hell

can you not ask questions?

Not sure if I remember but have/could you apply for one from NU? You guys rock enough that you should deserve one.

by davereid on Oct 31, 2009 3:14 PM CDT up reply actions

I struggle with that

we could probably get one, but I have never asked.

There’s a part of me that really likes being not part of the regular media. We have a lot of freedom. i’d rather keep the freedom.

I almost requested one last weekend...

…and one of these days, I probably will. Whether we qualify or not remains to be seen at this point.

Beats me.

I had about a dozen questions I wanted to ask myself!

by Mr. Bump on Oct 31, 2009 3:10 PM CDT up reply actions

given

all the young players we had today….. that’s not that shocking.

if you want something really positive – we have a great defense. we can be in every game. we’re just not going to smoke anyone.

if you ever wanted a season to get a whole crap load of youth experience, this is it.

I agree

But I’m getting tired of having to justify everything. I think last years team would have beat them 50-14.

by Mr. Bump on Oct 31, 2009 4:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Take away the atypical scores and...

this is a 13-3. KSU is OU’s appetizer, next week is the main course for their defense.
