Scott Frost now Oregon's Wide Receivers Coach

The Lincoln Journal-Star reports that former Husker quarterback Scott Frost has joined the staff at Oregon as wide receivers coach. Interesting move for Oregon since Frost has never played or coached receivers.  In the NFL, Frost was a safety.  At Kansas State and Northern Iowa, Frost coached defense.  (Even was Northern Iowa's co-defensive coordinator last season.)  In that sense, it's an interesting move for Oregon.  But a great opportunity for Frost to earn $130K a year and to move up to the BCS level.

But you have to wonder about the situation at Oregon.  Frost got a 1 year contract, but doesn't know who he'll coach for.  Mike Bellotti will decide in March whether to coach the Ducks this season, or turn the reigns over to offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.  And Kelly wasn't involved in the decision to hire Frost.
