Dropped Out: Virginia Tech (#14), Tennessee (#22).

I didn't see anything bad enough in Georgia to drop them, Ohio State drops only because USC looked very very good.

Missouri gave up a bunch of points to a guy named Juice, while Oklahoma bludgeoned an inferior opponent. I'm not sure how I feel about that - the Sooners being rewarded for playing garbage while the Tigers take on a quality opponent.

Yet there are weeks ahead, and things certainly will change.

How...

did Cal lose and not drop in your poll? Yet Missouri wins and drops 3 spots? I dont understand your logic at all, because Texas Tech gave up 24 to a 1-AA team and stays the same also, while, as you stated, Missouri plays a quality opponent and wins yet still drops. Well I guess this is your poll but it doesn’t make much sense to me.

Cal

beat Michigan State 38-31.

Texas Tech didn’t drop, really, but didn’t move up due to Clemson’s loss either.

Mizzou…. well, in the original week one poll, the feedback I got indicated that they should drop, and I did. Put it this way, as it stands either Mizzou or Oklahoma is atop the Big 12 perch. This week that looks like Oklahoma. Next week, could be Mizzou. We’ll bounce ‘em around depending upon stats against overmatched opponents. That’s about all we can do.

As a Mizzou fan

great job. This is a solid poll. Based off of week one, it certainly looked like Mizzou could simply outscore the teams below them (with the exception of LSU possibly), and would probably not beat any of the teams above them (with the possible exception of Florida-God, that matchup would break the scoreboard). Suffice to say I am no longer confident about the game in Lincoln. Ganz is big and mobile with a big arm… sounds familiar. Yikes. Of course, you guys gave up 24 to Western Michigan. Dear Lord, these games are going to look like basketball scores.

You think...

that you could beat Florida but you are not confident in playing NU? Wow.

Big OOPS....

on the Cal game. I got to watch ZERO college football this weekend and almost no highlites and my paper told me that MSU had beaten Cal 38-31. I still dont get that Missouri drops while playing and beating a quality oppenent yet Tech plays a crappy one and gives up 24 yet stays the same.

I guess it doesn’t really matter because it is all opinion anyway. Until (oh I know you are going to love me starting this already) we get a playoff of the top 16 teams it is all bogus anyway.
