Hoops: Niemann Eligible Next Season; No Word on Diaz
The Omaha World-Herald reports that the NCAA has approved 6'11" Christopher Niemann to enroll at Nebraska...but he'll have to sit out the 2008-09 season. He can practice, but cannot play since his German club team had professionals on the roster.
Meanwhile 7 footer Jorge Diaz still awaits admittance from the admissions office. He's been cleared by the NCAA however.

Thanks...
for posting this. I’ve been out all night.
Also, the tentative non-conference schedule was in the World-Herald this morning. I’ll have a break down of the schedule when it’s finalized.

Non-Conf. Schedule
I read the tentative schedule and holy hell! Wasn’t playing cream puffs a problem last year? Md. Baltimore County? I thought we were going to try for somewhat better competition this year. Out of all those teams only ASU and OSU seem to be decent teams (and I guess those clowns at CU).
