The Legend Of Chase "Booger" Daniel
"If you look at the legend of Chase Daniel when it comes back (in) three or four years," the senior Missouri quarterback said, "it's not going to be based on my yards, it's not going to be based on my touchdowns or interceptions. It's going to be based on wins."
Yes, Chase, your 'legend' will be based on wins, which is why you shouldn't do these types of interviews without a handler. Speaking of which, Mizzou still hasn't won a title in anything since... oh.... 1908 or something?
Hey, maybe after you're really successful, say like beating Oklahoma or outplaying Sam Bradford, they'll put up a statue of you or something.

As opposed
to what’s left of the legend of Nebraska. A bitter, pathetic shell of a defense feebly trying to convince themselves they’ll rebuild.
Have fun getting the hell kicked out of you when Mizzou walks out of Lincoln after blasting you by 30+ points.

well
Sooner or later, we will rebuild. And we do have a storied past, hence ‘legend’.
However, talking about your own legendary status (as a player, for crying out loud, not even as as a team) before you’ve obtained it is silly because you look like an absolute moron when things don’t work out how you thought they would.
Whether you beat us in Lincoln, by 5, 10, or 30 points doesn’t do anything to change that fact.
