Can Someone Help Out Eric Sorenson at the CWS?

CSTV's Eric Sorenson posted a bunch of CWS pictures , including one of the color guard, and he's wondering what the heck they're wearing. He's also wondering whether or not the 'cupcake' (bat girls) are a necessary part of college baseball.
My guess was that the color guard is part of the Nebraska Navy.
Anyway, head on over there, take a look, and let us know what that picture is all about.
