well

at this point, it’s 2-2 against Eastern Illinois as Dan Jennings just gave up a homer.

So, for the college fan without a baseball team

Who do I pull for in this tournament? I’m partial to Fullerton…

by CrossCyed on May 30, 2008 2:35 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

that's

a damned good question…..

I’d normally pick a smaller school that isn’t prevalent in other huge sports, yeah.

CSF isn’t bad, although not exactly an underdog.

Rice

is another good option.

They always have great pitching, they’re always a force in college baseball, and they’re a damned big rival to Texas. If that doesn’t grab you, I don’t know what to tell you. !!!!!

5-3

Panthers now, bottom of the fourth.

This is the problem with playing a small school that’s determined to win a game. They’ll use every pitcher they have, play hard as they can, and Nebraska’s lack of offensive production leaves us vulnerable.

Tyler

Farst homers – driving in Abeita – so now it’s 7-5 Nebraska.

Thad Weber has come in to pitch….. so…. the Dan Jennings move didn’t pay off that much other than he got some innings in.

If Weber can maybe pitch one or two scoreless innings while the Huskers drive in more runs, then maybe Weber can be available later this weekend for an inning or two. Or is that not how it works..?

Prebanic is up in the pen...

So it might still be possible to start Weber on Sunday, though now Weber’s getting in trouble in the top of the 6th.

Aaron Crow had a 3-hit CG Shutout to beat Ole Miss, 7-0. (Will starting Crow in game 1 come back to bite Mizzou?)
Coastal Carolina destroyed Columbia 10-2.
