Nebraska Baseball: Huskers vs. Ragin' Cajuns Game Day Thread
Series History: Tied 2-2
Date: May 3rd
Park: Haymarket Park
Game time: 12:00 pm, 6:30 pm
Television: none
Radio: Husker Sports Network and on the Internet at Huskers.com
- Last night’s game was cancelled due to inclement weather. It won’t be made up, but the Huskers will be playing a double header today.
- The cancellation of the game is an advantage for the Ragin’ Cajuns, as they won’t need to worry about pitching depth near as much as they would given a three-game series.

Bottom
of the first, as the Cajuns have already taken a 1-0 lead.
Hunter Moody has started on the mound for the Cajuns.
Johnny Dorn struggled in the first inning, giving up a run, hit a batter, and faced six batters.
Moody
gets an error as Nimmo advances to third....
I guess the earlier hit by Nimmo was credited as a hit, but both pitchers have errors in the first inning.
well
It's all tied now as the Cajuns scored in the top of the 7th.
3-3 - Huskers lead for a while 32.
score
game over....
Nebraska wins it 4-3, winning their 35th.
Zach Herr finished the game.
Key hit when Nimmo hit a single, Ben Kline was on the hit and run, so the Cajuns could a get a double play, and Nimmo was out at first, I believe it was Neer that scored the winning run.
Huskers have tied it up!!
Holy Cow. Maybe another comeback.
Opitz scores in a play at home.... went around the catcher, got his hand under and onto to the plate before the tag could get him.
LAF
doesn't score, but with the Huskers at bat, Belfonte had advanced to third after he was stealing second and an errant throw got him to third.
Kline's up now.
first batter
for Cajuns is hit by pitch.
Nesseth continues to pitch... I believe he's gone longer than he has in his career.
13th inning
Erik Bird is pitching...
Cajuns have a runner at second now.
K by Bird two outs now.
14th
now.
Holy crap. I can't imagine they ain't run out of food and drink out there at Haymarket.
Mort
scores!!!
Mitch Abeita singles and drives Mort home.
Mike Anderson gets his 250th win. What a memorable game for that milestone!!!!
