Former Oklahoma QB Jack Mildren Dies at Age 58
Jack Mildren , who ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more in the "Game of the Century" against Nebraska in 1971, has died at age 58 of cancer .
Mildren, who recently hosted a sports talk show on WKO-AM (930 AM) radio as well as served as vice chairman of a regional bank, also served as Oklahoma's lieutenant governor from 1990 to 1994. He ran unsuccessfully in 1994 to be Governor of Oklahoma, losing to Frank Keating.

I don’t think people have a good handle on just how good the Oklahoma and Nebraska teams were that year.
Michael Corcoran’s Game of the Century is an excellent reference on the game, and includes comments from Mildren.
My condolences go out to his family and the Sooner Nation.
