Please use this thread to discuss the Nebraska - Oklahoma State basketball game or any other games you might be watching (or listening to) today.
Reading, sleeping and a better diet has helped Ade Dagundoro be a big part of Husker success.
The OWH weighs in on Dagundoro's success.
Oklahoma State has won five of their last six games. The Cowboys are one game out of fourth place and two games out of third in the Big 12 standings. Three weeks ago, OSU was on a six-game losing streak and tied with Colorado for last place.
Nebraska leads the series with Oklahoma State 62-50.
Aleks Maric
Aleks Maric has garnered some incredible statistics in his Husker career.
- Aleks Maric is currently ninth on the all-time Husker scoring list.
- Active career leader in the Big 12 for rebounds (937), double-doubles (34) and double-figure rebound games (37).
- Second to Venson Hamilton in Nebraska Career Rebounds
- Second to Venson Hamilton in Nebraska career double-doubles.
- Ninth in Big 12 career double-doubles.
- Second to Venson Hamilton in career double-doubles in Big 12 games only.
Aleks Maric is only the sixth player in Big 12 conference history to reach 1,500 points and 900-rebounds. With points today he'll move up that list.

| 5 | Drew Gooden (KU, 2000-02) | 1,526 | 905 |
| 6 | Aleks Maric (2005-pres.) | 1,525 | 937 |
** Currently only one other Big 12-era player has at least 1,500 points and 800 rebounds (Wayne Simien, KU, 2002-05; 1,593 points; 884 rebounds) although Texas A&M's Joseph Jones (2005-pres.) is closing in on that level with 1,611 points and 791 rebounds.

Discrepancy
there appears to be a discrepancy on the baseball schedules. The article from yesterday says game time at 12:05 pm, and the main schedule shows 1:35 pm.
Given that the game hasn't started yet, I'd say it's 1:35 pm.
Nebraska leads 4-0 earlier at OSU. We are rebounding on the defensive boards.

At
12:00 left in first half, 12-6.
OSU is on a run, Nebraska has a number of TO's, eight so far.
Pretty nasty early, they need to settle down.

15-6
man, we are missing Cookie Miller today.
Henry misses a FT, OSU is playing great defense.

Velander
misses, Maric puts it back.
15-9, OSU scores on their next possession.
17-9. Dagundoro misses a backdoor, OSU in transition, scores and fouled.
So, the road isn't being so kind to us right now.
Maric has two fouls, so Balham needs a big game.

23-12
We're sucking heavily.
8:00 minutes left in the first half, OSU is in control. Maric has six points, five rebounds, but has foul problems.
So.... it's time for the young uns to step up and figure out how to score or this is going to be ugly.

Checking in from work, saw bits and pieces...
Huskers got it down to 31-27 at half, kept it tight coming out, but turnovers and missed shots killed us down the stretch.
Today just goes to show how hard it is to win on the road in a balanced league like the Big 12. We come out strong defensively, but can't get anything going offensively today.
64-47 at the under-4 timeout.

OSU wins, 77-63
NU shot 50% from the floor, but OSU shot 52%, including 47.4% from behind the arc. OSU hit 10 of its first 13 shots after halftime to put a lot of distance between them and the Huskers.
On the bright side, the Huskers never gave up, and were fighting and pressing the whole way.
In other news, OU bounces back from getting trounced by the Huskers on Wednesday to trounce A&M 64-37. A&M had won 98-54 on Wednesday. Ah, the joys of playing on the road in the Big 12...

More stats...
Huskers outrebounded OSU 30-24 and had 10 steals, but still turned the ball over 18 times.
Maric had 17 pts, 12 rebs, and 3 steals(!), while Harley had 17 pts and Dagunduro had 12. Harley hit all 3 of Nebraska's 3-pointers. Nebraska committed 25 team fouls, leading to 33 free throw attempts for OSU. (OSU had 15 fouls for the game)
Lessons from today? Turn the ball over 18 times on the road and you usually won't win. Give your opponent 30+ free throw attempts, and you probably won't win.
Also, we learned that Nebraska does much better against post-oriented teams (like OU and Kansas State) than guard-oriented teams (like OSU and Kansas), as it was Eaton, Dove, and Muonelo that did the damage tonight. Texas is a guard-heavy team. That does not bode well for Tuesday.
