Heisman = Sam Bradford: Great Young Men
Sam Bradford, OU, wins the Heisman trophy. Good choice, to be honest, I'm glad Tebow didn't win it because... well, hell, selfishness being what it is - Tommie Frazier didn't win one, let alone two, so I don't want Frazier being replaced as the greatest college quarterback ever.
But... on another note - Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy. Three great young men. In this time of cynicism, these guys are exemplary of what you want the best of young men to be. How can you dislike any of them... well... Tebow plays for the Gators, but other than that....
McCoy finished second, Tebow third, Harrel and Crabtree fourth and fifth. Tim Tebow has the most first place votes..

I can't really fault
any of these guys winning the Heisman…
This was such a tough year for picking a Heisman winner. Heck, Shonn Greene of Iowa didn’t finish in the Top 5 and had a year that might have gotten him at least a trip to New York most other seasons.

One thing I was amazed at while watching the ceremony was how similar all three guys are.
Obviously I wanted Colt to win it, but Bradford got the Big XII championship as a last schowcase game and he was a worthy winner as well.

BCS costs McCoy a Heisman
I thought McCoy did more with less and was a better all-round player and just as important a better leader than Bradford. Plus, McCoy beat Bradford in a HEAD to HEAD matchup, (something that doesn’t matter much in college football these days). A game where Bradford did throw 5 TD passes but also threw 2 interceptions McCoy 1 TD 0 INTS. It is bad enough the BCS got it wrong with who went to the Big XII Championship game (in my opinion) and in turn influenced the Heisman. The BCS system needs to go!!!!!!! I don’t think Bradford would have won it without that last game. But, all three were really good canidates and quality people. In close race like that one you can make a good argument for all three and even for Harrell and Crabtree. I thought McCoy and Tebow both were better than Bradford, similar stats but better leaders.
