2008 CBS Sports Blog Poll Top 25 College Football Rankings - Week Ten Initial Ballot

Things are starting to straighten themselves out pretty well, and by that I mean it's looking like it's going to be absolute chaos at the end of the season. No, I'm still not for a playoff, but if Nebraska isn't going to be part of the big picture, then I love the chaos, doesn't everyone?

#1 - Alabama

#2 - Texas Tech

#3 - Penn State

#4 - Oklahoma

#5 - Florida

15-25 are a complete mess.

You know the drill, comments required!

Texas...

…Should be above OU. Texas beat the Sooners soundly on a neutral site, and their only loss is on the road against the team you have #2. Not to mentuon that the Horns have impressive wins over Mizzou and Oklahoma State, while OU’s marquee wins are TCU, Kansas, and Nebraska.

Note that CB has TCU ahead of Missouri...

…and that victory over TCU was impressive.

Everyone gets a shot

The Big XII South is crazy good. But, fact is T-Tech and Alabama control their own destiny they win they are in. What a great game that would be Big XII offense vs SEC defense settle the great conference debate on the field. If Penn State should also goes undefeated tough get better Big 10. But should T-Tech or Alabama lose I think Penn State gets in. Even though I believe a one loss SEC or Big XII team would beat Penn State.

I dont think

Either Tech or Bama will go undefeated. I look for OU to beat Tech and throw the south into a 4 way tie. and that will be down to three after OU and OSU play. I also think Bama will either lose to LSU or will lose the SEC championship game. Penn St and OU in the final is my guess or maybe Florida in there.

Very possible

I also think Penn State gets in because T-Tech or Alabama will stub a toe down the stretch, if they don’t great problem solved. But, if all three lose (Penn State plays at Iowa where they have struggled in the past) It would be hard to argue that the Big XII champ and the SEC champ are not the best two teams in the nation. Big 10 and Pac 10 get a championship game, I bet USC would love another shot at Oregon State right now.
