Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all you CN'ers!
I hope you stuff yourselves to the point of gluttony and have an enjoyable time with your families, friends, and whomever they may bring.
There's a lot to be thankful for this year. We can be thankful that we're no longer rudderless. We can be thankful that we have a team that is playing hard, that is already bowl eligible, and on their way to a pretty good first season under new head coach Bo Pelini.
The Husker volleyball team is on their way to sharing a Big 12 title with Texas and the basketball team is 4-0 and looks like they're making progress under Doc Sadler. Baseball is still a ways off, but I'm already looking forward to seeing what the team can do and seeing what Khiry Cooper is all about.
It is also time to remember there are those less fortunate. Tomorrow's game will have a collection for Toys for Tots. It doesn't take much to buy a ball, a set of legos, or the toy you loved so much when you were a kid. Just remember to keep it simple, but bring something to the game.
As for me, I'm going to be thankful that I have neighbors who invite me over to their place, treat me like I'm family and allow me to wallow around all day eating like a pig and watching football. And I'm thankful for Mrs Corn Nation, who still puts up with me.
Life is good.

Hey
same to you man. Eat like a pig if for no other reason because you can. You have the food there to do it so do it. Thats my theory. That old saying from mom when I was a kid " there are starving people in China who would love to have that food" makes me eat everything in site on Thanksgiving. Just for those “starving people”. LOL

My mother
used the “starving children” line on me too. I always replied “Name one!”
That usually got her off my back by sending me to my room!

Yeah
the “shut your mouth and eat” one always got me in trouble. I still to this day haven’t figured out how to do both at the same time. LOL
