Husker Basketball Game #2: Nebraska at TCU Horned Frogs Live Game Thread

Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-0) vs. Texas Christian Horned Frogs (1-2)

TV: CBS College Sports (not available on Omaha cable, 305 on Time Warner Cable in Lincoln.  Available on DirecTV and DISH Network)  Webcast on ChannelSurfing.net

Radio: Husker Sports Network (1110 Omaha, 1400 Lincoln, Sirius Channel 127) (webcast through Huskers.com)

Live Stats: Gametracker on GoFrogs.cstv.com

Media Previews: Journal-Star, World-Herald

Nebraska hits the road for the first time on the young basketball season, to face the TCU Horned Frogs from the Mountain West Conference.  The Horned Frogs went 1-2 over the weekend in a round-robin tournament in Charleston, SC, beating Western Michigan, but losing to Clemson and College of Charleston.  This will be a matchup of teams that play similar styles, as the Horned Frogs also play small lineups that focus on defense.

watched

this game….. and would have joined in here had i been somewhere with a better than 26k dial up connection.

Well… I watched the first half until we switched over to watch the Huskers lose to Texas in volleyball.

The referees called this game so close you got a foul for breathing too hard on your opponent. They called it that way for both teams. It kept TCU in the game…. what’d they have 2 field goals in the first half and maybe four in the second? Everything else was foul shooting. Really nutty.

McCray looks really raw, but it’ll be interesting to see him grow. Once again, though, we appear to be in a position where someone has to be consistently scoring, the go to guy. What do you think of that????

I didn't

get to see the game and I relize that the two wins aren’t over No. Carolina and Duke but with the lack of a true post player I would say that they are still good wins. Hope Doc keeps it up this year.
