as much as it was Mike Stoops gave that defense a sort of swagger that they haven’t had since 2003 before he left. Venables is a really firey guy but Stoops had something special. The ones that really hate Venables are those crazy nutjob bandwagon fans.
Secretly I think a lot of us are hoping Arizona fires Stoops and he will come back next year.

I dont think Asante is a terrible player or anything but if this is his first year of getting anyreal coaching then that explains it. But surely we have a safety that is good a pass coverage and could replace him on obvious passing downs.
