Holes

Do I really need to add anything to this?

The proofs in the pictures

I sat in the north stadium section 36 and watched a number of the plays in those pictures come right at me and as scary as it is it looked even worse in person than it does in those pics.

Our D-linemen would get their shoulders turned and then USC's O-line would simply push them out of the way. After watching how well Suh played against the Trojans last year I was astounded by the extent in which he was totally dominated in this game. I know there was not a lot of substitution on the d-line but lets face it...None of USC's drives lasted more than 5-7 plays.

Somewhere Bob Devaney must be downing about his 20th scotch after seeing what accounts for Blackshirts these days.

Memo to Corey Mack: It's fine to talk the talk if you can walk the walk but after this performance the only thing I'd care to hear from you is SORRY!!

Holes galore!

I have never seen holes like that in my entire life--in any game on any level!  It made me so mad I almost thru my anger management notebook at the tube.

Wow
That kind of reminds me of driving into Houston on the eight-lane plus median SH 288.

Lbs, dbs?

What I kept wondering up 'til the 3rd qtr--before I switched full boar to the Lou/KY game--was where the frick were the Lbs and safeties on these up-the-gut- runs?  You couldn't find them anywhere.  Totally out of position.  Oh, I know, it was Coz's patented 'scatter' alligment.

LB's

Ze...

In a lot of cases Cozgrove had McKeon, Dillard, Rudd and Octavien within 1-2 yards of the line of scrimmage. As soon as the ball was snapped they got enveloped in the O & D lines and were rarely in position to make a play on the ball and on the rare occasions that they were only Dillard and Branderburg were making the tackles. I think Bo Rudd is a great, solid young man and would love to have him on any team of mine but he's really, really struggled the last couple weeks with his body positioning and tackling. Coz must be more worried about teaching stripping the ball than going under control and getting yourself in the right position, putting your head in front, wrapping up and driving the feet. All I've see thus far this year is sticking out arms grabbing for whatever is there and hoping to catch something.

Time for some angle tackling drills Coz...

And for heavens sake somebody please light a fire under someone...I've not heard that stadium like that since the '94 Colorado game. If that kind of atmosphere and electricity can't get you fired up to play the #1 team in the country I don't know what can....

After....

the second or third time of the linebackers getting caught up in the line dont you think most coaches would back them off a little and let them make some plays? They should be faster then the linemen and backing them off would give them time to move away from them and see the ball carrier and make a play (if they tackle properly). This should be plain common sense. And Jon to me this is a COACHING PROBLEM!!!!!!!!

WOW!

We borrowed one of these images and linked it back to  you. It is much different seeing a still pic vs. seeing it on TV.

Good luck with rest of the season.
