Gerch beaned
He just made a running catch on a ball to retire the Aggies in the first inning, but he just got beaned.
Sounds like he's okay and will continue.

now Tezak hit
at second base - sounds like he got picked off, but he is injured since the pitcher hit him while he was trying to get back to second. Hit him right in the chest.
good grief.
according to Jim Rose, it's 'getting a little edgy' in College Station.

lots of screaming
Aggie fans are upset that Tezak isn't ruled out on the play. Apparently, time was called when Tezak was hit and it's pretty clear that he wasn't out.
Tezak is back on second base now.

Rose is saying that
Tezak must have gotten hit in the back of the neck.
still delayed.

Tezak has been called out
I guess all you need to do is throw at a base runner.
This game might get very interesting.

playing the game under protest
Abeita out, so that's three outs, and the Aggies will come up.
Wondering how many of them are going to get hit now.

this kind of crap
seems to happen whenever you're playing at home fields in Texas. Is it just me, or do those guys home-cook baseball more than anyone?

double play
to end the second inning. sounded like a questionable call, but I suppose that makes up for Tezak and now we can all go on with our lives.

Aggie Homer

Belfonte with a double
Abeita at third now.
Wehrle up to bat. Wehrle is playing better....
Game tied 1-1.
Strike one to Wehrle

Wehrle hit - fielding error
Abeita scored from third, Belfonte scored from second.
Wehrle at second now.
Great production with two outs - Nebraska seems to be doing pretty good with that.
Andrew Brown grounds out, side retired, but Nebraska leads 3-1.
Oklahoma State has come back to lead Baylor in the bottom of the third.

family calls
Coming into the bottom of the fifth - the game is tied 5-5 - Andy Gerch hitting a homer, and again Nebraska doing good work with two outs to come back and tie the game

Hicks single
Gerch made the throw to home, but not in time as Aggie runner Parker Dalton came around and scored.

Huskers ahead
Well, the Aggies have brought in their closer Kyle Nicholson. He walks Nimmo, loads the bases, then Abeita gets a base hit and drives home Gerch and Tezak.
So - the Huskers lead in the 7th - the Aggies get a double play to retire the side.

so now it's tied again 7-7

two outs again
Brown is on third, Corriston just got hit, and Tezak is up. Tezak line drive to the mound and that's it.
So, we couldn't work more two-out magic.
