Week 12 Husker Report Card: Colorado
After yesterday, do I still need to do this? Well...just to be consistent...
Offensive Line: B Only one sack when the Huskers called 60+ passes?
Running Back: A- Marlon Lucky, over 180 yards of all-purpose yards. Nice output. Would have liked to have seen some more of Quentin Castille, not to mention ANY sign of Roy Helu.
Quarterback: B- After the first half, this would have been an A, but the second half drops this grade. I have to wonder how banged up Joe Ganz was; he was very erratic in the second half.
Wide Receiver: A Some nice catches by everybody on a cold day.
Defensive Line: F The milk carton boys turned up MIA again.
Linebackers: F Well, I saw them chasing some guys at least.
Secondary: F Consistently toasted all day.
Coaching: No Grade Not really necessary to grade them anymore, don't you think?
Overall: D- Could have won this one, but literally threw it away in the second half.
Elsewhere in college football:
Missouri: A+ Number one in the country? In other news, AJ the Huskerh8er warns that if you are going to Hell this week, take your parka along.
Kansas: B Made a game of it late, and still in position for a BCS game.
LSU: D Was Bo Pelini already thinking about dinner at Lo Sole Mio in Omaha?
Buffalo: B- Five wins for the Bulls? Turner Gill has some believers.
West Virginia: A+ No, we haven't forgotten about you...

I dont know...
if I would give the secondary an F. Yes they did get beat but we put no pressure on the qb. Heck there were times when I would have been able to find an open man. If the qb has all day to throw then eventually someone will get open. The few times we did pressure Hawkins we had good coverage and they threw incomplete passes. I think I would give a low c.

Ganz giveth and...
Ganz taketh away. The 3 INTS were the key difference in the game, all leading to easy scores. The blocked punt didn't help either. Huge swing of momentum. Ganz had a GREAT 2nd quarter, but the whole day he was forcing a number of passes and was constantly throwing behind receivers on crossing routes. Ganz: C.
Defense=pathetic: F
