tunnel walk
they look like they're running out onto the field. Nice exactly awe-inspiring. maybe it's different there.
man. i hope we win this game.
we receive to start.
we've won 37 of the last 38 homecoming games.
we haven't lost at home to OSU since 1960.
kickoff
decent return, grixby fumbles, recovered by nebraska
1st play, incomplete to peterson.
2nd play, up the middle with lucky, gain of five
3rd play, first down pass, dropped by Nate Swift. holy crap. right to him, dropped. open, a little behind him, but catchable.
Ricky Thenarse
hits the punt returner early.
crowd booing the call, most likely.
OSU starts at the 50
OSU
first series
off-tackle right - gets about four.
2nd play, wide open bowman. first down. 14 yards. OSU at the 32.
Savage
missed tackle, could have had him pinned.
3rd and 1.
tight I formation. up the middle. OSU should have it.
OSU scores
on their first possession.
lifeless, we are lifeless.
they could have literally walked down the field slowly and there wouldn't have been any difference.
man.
something needs to happen to this defense.
personal foul
on osu on kickoff.
we start at near mid-field.
inside stretch. lucky falls over, gains three.
next, roll the pocket, lucky short pass reception.
personal foul, nebraska, on lydon murtha. moron. idiot. boob.
3rd and 21
and Purify makes the catch right beyond the marker!
Holding on Murtha.
3rd and 31 now. probably run a draw.
here
let's see if can properly predict the calls on the next Nebraska series.
- zone off tackle right
- pass- crossing pattern to the left, gain of five.
- pass to purify, right, hitch.
melted butter
would be insulted by this defense.
option pitch righ t to the eight.
now to the three.
OSU
scores again.
and why not? who's stopping them?
hey, Texas A&M came back last week. Came back from the dead.
And they won.
a first down
by Lucky!
stretch play right.
we're coming alive! !!!
lucky up the middle for four yards!
and we did
and we sucked.
the play was blown up early when the center couldn't get up the field and penetration cut off the backside guard pulling.
this offensive line doesn't explode on anyone.
i am
having a bloody mary.
it's now 31-0.
- thirty one. to nothing.
they really need to do something. maybe fire kevin cosgrove at halftime.
38-0
at the half.
i should be drinking more. but i don't care anymore.
that's the saddest thing of all.
The team doesn't care. The coaches have no answers.
It's Cryin' Time Again
What is there to say?
The only thing that remains to be seen is if THIS debacle will illicit some answers or emotion.
Part of me says there's now way Billy & the Boys can trot out the same old lines.
Another part of me knows they will.

the problem
is that after this game, there are a lot of people who will have ceased to care.
this team isn't worth the effort it takes to boo.
and if something doesn't happen, everyone will lose interest. They'll move from anger to apathy, the worst position possible for a program.
that's why something has to happen.

Funny game thread commentary,
I wish I would've gotten on board, but I could barely arouse myself to a state of apathy to come post. Was only a little surprised by the 1st half blowout, but very surprised that Coz didn't get the ax at halftime. Postgame he says he's still confident in his abilities....unbelievable.....
