Women Putting Together a Good Season

Don't know if y'all have noticed this, but the Nebraska women's basketball team is putting together a nice season.

They currently sit at second in the Big 12 with a 3-1 record, behind Oklahoma at 4-0. Overall, they're 15-3

I listened to the Kansas State game for a while last night. They had a 24 point lead at the half, but let #25 climb back into the game in the second half. KSU nearly erased the deficit coming as close as five before the Huskers got enough points on the boards to put them away 70-63.

The women have done an incredible job on the road, start the Big 12 season with a win in Austin. They have won nine of their last ten on the road, showing signs that things are looking pretty good in Lincoln for Connie Yori's squad.

Big 12 teams in the rankings include Oklahoma at #7, Baylor at #13, Texas A&M at #17, Texas at #22, and Kansas State at #25.

I wonder..

if they will be ranked now? They have beaten at least 2 ranked teams maybe more? I thought they may have beaten one non-con. but not sure. Yori sure is doing a good job rebuilding what Sanderford tore down. Glad to see it.

I agree

Sanderford just didn't seem to care about the future of the program. Connie is working hard to bring in talented players and then develop them into very good Big 12 caliber players.

I remember when Sanderford came, everyone was excited, and then he started recruiting players he couldn't control. It really hurt the program... like you said.
